About the Doctor

Dr. Cynthia Ream-Garcia, DPT

Cynthia Ream-Garcia, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength and Conditioning Specialist. A former multi-sport athlete, she was recruited to play NCAA softball at Notre Dame College before earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University.

Dr. Cynthia is a dedicated expert in pain science, having conducted research in Oregon through the Movement, Mindfulness, and Pain Science Program (MMaPS), where she explored the intersection of trauma, mindfulness, and movement in pain management. Her background also includes research on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their connection to chronic pain. She blends this research foundation with principles of lifestyle medicine to support long-term recovery, empower patients, and help prevent unnecessary surgeries.

As a strength and conditioning specialist and former collegiate athlete, Dr. Cynthia is passionate about injury prevention and performance, particularly in female athletes. She has trained at the Mamba Sports Academy, where she worked with elite, collegiate, and professional athletes to return to sport stronger and more resilient.
